Homogeneous Chains
Also called Homogeneous chain, Typed chain.
New to this shorthand? How to read a sudoku grid explains r4c7, houses, candidates and the rest.
What it means
A chain where every link is the same kind. All one number, say, or all one shape of step. Keeping the links alike makes a long chain easier to follow.
The exact rule, for stronger players
The rule, stated exactly: Chains restricted so that every node is of the same type, for example all bivalue cells or all conjugate pairs of one digit, giving a classification of chain patterns by node homogeneity.
What it removes: As for AIC.
Why it works: Standard chain logic, restricted. The restriction is a classification device, not a different argument.
Worked examples
None yet. This pattern does not turn up in our daily boards, so there is no real example to show. We would rather wait than draw a fake one.

How often does it come up?
Our rough estimate: a classification framework rather than a hunted pattern.
