What it means
A finned fish that is missing a corner. It looks broken, but it still works, because the fin covers the gap. Same rule, stranger shape.
The exact rule, for stronger players
The rule, stated exactly: A finned fish in which removing the fin would leave a base set with only one candidate, so the underlying fish is degenerate. The elimination logic is unchanged.
What it removes: As for finned fish.
Why it works: Identical to the finned fish. The distinction is descriptive, not logical: it names the case where the fish without its fin would not stand on its own.
